There are two BIOS versions available for the Vig620M motherboard. - BIOS version A7592IVS.109 has the F11 Boot Menu feature Disabled when the BIOS password is set. This prevents users from accessing the Boot Menu to boot off devices.To boot off a different device other than the first device in the Boot Sequence, you will need to enter the BIOS and manually change the boot sequence or remove the BIOS password to access the F11 Boot Menu. - BIOS version A7592IVS.10A has the F11 Boot Menu feature Enabled when the BIOS password is set. This allows users to access the Boot Menu to boot of devices although the BIOS password is set. By default your system will be shipped with BIOS version A7592IVS.10A, unless you requested BIOS version A7592IVS.109 through your sales representative. BIOS Update Instructions: 1. Save BIOS update zipped file to a temporary directory. 2. Extract the necessary files. 3. Copy the contents of the file to a bootable floppy disk, USB device or CD-ROM. 4. Boot the target PC with the device connected or inserted. 5. Select F11 during POST to display the Boot Menu and select your bootable device. 6. Type 'Flash.bat' to launch the BIOS update process. 7. The system will reboot once complete. 8. Enter the BIOS Setup and select Load Optimized defaults. Then select F10 to save and exit. Note: If you are using BIOS version A75921VS.109 you will need to configure the BIOS Boot Sequence to boot to the bootable device first. Please follow the instructions below. 1. Press DELETE during boot to enter BIOS setup. 2. Enter the Advanced BIOS Features menu and then select Boot Sequence. 3. Ensure that the bootable device is set as the first boot device in the list (Press ENTER on the first boot device and then select the device you want as the first boot device to change it). 4. Selecting F10 to save and exit the BIOS Setup. 5. Reboot the target PC and at the prompt type 'Flash.bat' to launch the BIOS update process. 6. The system should reboot once complete. 7. Enter the BIOS Setup and select Load Optimized defaults. Then select F10 to save and exit. IMPORTANT!!!!! During the update process DO NOT shut down the PC or interrupt the process, this could cause damage to the motherboard.
